What to Write in an Eid Mubarak Card

Eid morning is loud. Clothes, food, group texts, children already asking about gifts. A physical Eid Mubarak card asks someone to pause. The hard part is the blank space inside. You want to say something true without writing a speech.
You do not need a poem. You need a greeting, one personal line, and a short dua. That is an Eid card people keep.
A structure that always works
Open with Eid Mubarak. Add one detail that belongs to this person: last year's iftar, their children, the fact they hosted everyone. Close with a blessing. Sign your name. Four short parts. Stop there.
Eid Mubarak works for both Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. If you want the day to feel specific, mention the feast or the meaning of the day in one short line, not a lecture.
Short messages you can make your own
“Eid Mubarak. May Allah accept your fasts and fill your home with ease. Thinking of you today.”
“Eid Mubarak to you and the children. May this day be light, and the year ahead kinder than the last.”
“Wishing you a peaceful Eid. Thank you for always making space at your table. May Allah reward you.”
“Eid Mubarak. May your duas be answered and your house stay full of laughter.”
For Eid al-Adha, a simpler line often fits better: “Eid Mubarak. May Allah accept your sacrifice and keep you in His mercy.”
Family, friends, colleagues
Family can take warmth and a memory. Friends can take a joke if it is kind. A colleague or neighbour does not need Arabic if you are not sure they read it. “Eid Mubarak. Wishing you a beautiful day with your family” is enough, and welcome from anyone.
If you are writing as a household, sign that way. A child's line under yours often becomes the part they reread.
What to leave out
Do not copy a long WhatsApp paragraph you would never say out loud. Do not explain the holiday to someone who is celebrating it. Do not fill every inch of the card. Leave space on the page.
